Summer’s here! And if you haven’t tried this recipe yet, you’re missing on it.

Before I knew about this recipe few years back, I was surprised to hear when somebody mentioned ‘watermelon juice’ one day. I wondered how is that even a thing, and how would it taste. So I kept on delaying it until one day my mom asked me to try it.

I thought why not. The weather was hot and at that time it seemed a refreshing idea. Trust me you guys! It was the best thing I discovered that day!

If you’re interested in making watermelon juice but don’t know how to do it, I’m here to tell you. We will see two ways of making it, with a slight variation, one of which is inspired by cleaneatingkitchen.com

So let’s jump right into it!

1: Watermelon and mint juice:

Take:

  • Watermelon: 2 medium sized slice
  • 1 fresh lemon juice
  • Few mint leaves
  • Half cup water (to blend)
  • A small piece of ginger (optional)

Directions:

Blend all the ingredients, except the ginger, in a blender. My personal favorite for that purpose is Dash Quest Countertop Blender. Straining is optional. I personally don’t do it. Now, throw in that ginger into your glass, and there you go. The juice is ready. Enjoy!

2: Watermelon juice, without mint:

Take:

  • Watermelon : 2 medium sized slices
  • 1 fresh lemon juice
  • A pinch of salt
  • Half cup of water (to blend)

Directions:

Put everything in the blender and blend blend blend. Watch that beautiful red color that’s already so appealing. Strain it out which is again an optional step. Serve, drink and enjoy!

I really hope you like the recipe as much as I do. If you do, let me know. I will be glad to hear from you guys.
